People have hobbies and interests. Why and what they can learn from these? (250 words)
Everyone of us has hobbies and interests. Some play music, some take pictures of flowers and some bike around the city as their hobbies. Some are interested in reading classic books, some are interested in handicraft and some are interested in paintings. Those may not be what they are doing for their living or career. However, hobbies and interests are as important in one’s life as education and careers.
We can learn a lot from our hobbies and interests. To learn something well, we need to be interested in it. As for hobbies, we are doing them due to our own interests. Therefore we give more attention and time for them. On the other hand, we can apply the knowledge we learned from one place for the other in our life. Therefore we can learn a lot from our hobbies and interests and apply the knowledge for what is essential for our life – education, career and survival.
One who plant flowers as hobby can learn about them without studying Botany at the university. As for a stamp collector myself, I learn how to arrange all the stamps in place so that I can look for a stamp I want at no time. It helps me keeps things in place at work. Just like me, anyone can learn something useful from their hobbies and interests. The time we used for them wouldn’t be wasted. We may not learn as a professional but those we learn from them are invaluable for us.
